After weeks of setback and waiting we finally signed the papers on our house and as of almost three weeks ago, became official homeowners. For the last month we have been busy packing, moving, unpacking, cleaning, and attempting to organize things. Unfortunately our internet is not the best right now and I haven't been able to find my camera charger in all this mess, so I haven't been able to take or post any pictures yet. The new carpet was finally put down and most of the rooms are painted except for the living room. Most of the boxes are empty and just need to be moved out of the house or put in the crawlspace, and it is slowly beginning to feel like home and we have already been discussing changes we would like to make as we have the money. Our next project will be bamboo floors in the living room and hall way and of course the construction of the shop/garage will probably start in the spring.
In this same time Jamie was finally able to obtain a job on the slope and has quit the moving company. He finished his last day of training today and we found out he will be leaving on Sunday instead of on the 28th as originally anticipated. He will be gone for two weeks and home for two weeks unless he picks up an additional shift from time to time. Am slightly disappointed that he won't be here for Christmas and probably not for New Year's either but I am happy that he was finally able to get up there and hopefully it will last longer than the last one did and he will adjust well and be happy there.
I have completed my first semester in my certification program which has been a big weight off my shoulders and look forward to a small break before the next semester starts.
Hopefully we will have better internet soon and I will be posting pictures as they come up
