Hibernation Day
I know it has probably been cold everywhere. I left cool temperatures in the States for downright frigid!! High winds and negative temps have ripped through the Valley and it has been about -35 every day at work meaning indoor recess and some seriously stir-crazy children!! Every day we here hope that it is warming up but the day for this transition continues to get pushed back. Now we are hoping that tomorrow will be the day that this trend starts to break. January is always the coldest month here but we have definitely set some new records this year. So a Sunday hibernation day has been decided on. After church, bunco, and hopefully a trip to see Bride Wars today, most of tomorrow will be devoted to staying in. After the weekly Sunday cleaning and a hot shower, I plan on getting back into some warm PJs and cozy socks and settling in with the book I have started, a new puzzle on the table, some hot cocoa and maybe a Pay-Per View movie or two. I have declared Sunday my new winter tradition: Hibernation Day.
