You're grounded

So I was supposed to be on a plane at 12:30 am on the 22nd on my way to Phoenix for the holidays. Unfortunately God has had other plans and due to the atrocious weather, my flight from Anchorage to Seattle has been cancelled. After sitting and listening to the busy signal for a little over an hour as I have tried to get through to customer service to see about changing my flight, I am currently on hold waiting to talk to a representative and have been doing so for at least the last hour. If I am lucky they will have an opening and I will be able to get out of here before Christmas. According to the news people have been waiting in lines at SEA-TAC for up to 8 hours waiting to get on other flights and apparently the waits up here are no better as all flights from the Pacific Northwest are currently grounded. So I am sitting at home listening to musak and praying for a Christmas miracle. Jamie is currently in Denver and will most likely be able to make all of his flights and be in Phoenix tomorrow morning. At this point I will take anything I can get, hoping that something will come up sooner than later. This is EXACTLY why I choose not to travel during the holidays and at some point people are just going to have to suck it up and come visit me for a change.
