"Be careful for nothing; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus" ~Phil. 4:6-7
Moving on....
As is often the tradition, I have been thinking of those things I am thankful for everyday.
1) For family and friends who love and support me no matter what; who have been and will continue to be there unconditionally and have molded me into the person I am today and am continuing to become.
2) For a husband who is truly the best man I have ever met. Truly a keeper. A man I love more and more everyday and am blessed to be spending the rest of my life with. A man who has always worked his hardest to provide for his family and put them first, who love and supports me unconditionally, and who compliments me and my quirks in the most positive way. There are not enough words in the english language for these thanks.
3) For a home, a job, my health, and the many comforts and freedoms I have been able to enjoy because of the country I live in. For the safety that has been provided to us because of our hardworking men and women overseas, the freedom to practice religion without persecution, to pursue the same academic opportunities as males, and live life quietly and peacefully.
4) For a God who continues to provide and love us no matter the circumstances and to provide for his people, helping me to get through some of the 2008 rough patches as unscathed as possible.
5) For the peace of mind that the upcoming year will continue in this same fashion, bringing with it many more opportunities, blessings, and trials but that because of my Top 4, I will be able to prevail in 2009 with the grace and dignity that I desire.
I wish the best to everyone this Thanksgiving. Whatever you are thankful for this year, I encourage and challenge you all to ponder them more often than just today and to let those around you know how much they mean to you. Eat,drink, and be merry today and in the days to come.
HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
